Six Sigma Training and Certification will teach you that everything to do with your business revolves around the processes that you have and how effective they are in operations. The ultimate goal of Six Sigma is to provide a defect ratio of 3.4 defects per million, which is a very high standard for any business, and especially for one that is facing problems with customer dissatisfaction or loss of sales because of ineffective processes. However, when you are properly trained in the principles and policies of Six Sigma, you will be much better able to understand how the process works, how it can benefit your business and how it affects your bottom line every single time.

With Six Sigma Methodology, the bottom line is that the bottom line is all that matters. When you focus on anything other than customer satisfaction and achieving profit goals, you will lose sight of what your business is designed to do. No matter how much you enjoy owning a business you have to look at the leger side of things every once in awhile to make sure that your business is serving its intended purpose, and meeting the goals that it needs to be meeting. Keep all of this in mind and your business will be much more successful in the end.

When it comes to having an efficient business and a profitable bottom line, there are many different choices that you can make as to how to handle the situation. However, if you take the time to embrace the Six Sigma approach and use it to your best advantage, you can often make the process improvement projects that you embark on much easier to manage. By using factual data you will get more relevant and actualized results than with any other method of problem solving that you work with.

In order to streamline operations and at the same time ensure quality in business operations many companies have adopted the Six Sigma approach in the operation of their business. Originally used by some of the worlds largest companies, Six Sigma is being used by more medium and small business companies. The process is a quantifiable method to ensure the quality of products and processes. Statistics play a major role in the Six Sigma approach. Financial data that is gleaned from statistical methods used are used as a tool in reducing costs and improving quality.

There are two Six Sigma methodologies used to implement change in a company. They are the DMAIC which stands for Define Measure Analyze and Control. The other method used is called DMADV, this acronym stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and control.

In the case of DMAIC, it is used on processes that are already in use in the company in order to improve them. While in the case of DMADV, improving new processes and products are the goal.

By instituting Six Sigma methodology a businesses can stream line their functions by using quantifiable methods to come up with solutions to solve the waste of time and money. Secondly, another method of streamlining business operations are to add automation to areas that can benefit the bottom line by reducing work typically done by employees . Employees still play a vital role in the implementation of the Six Sigma the process. Retained employees need to be highly trained and there are different grades of highly trained employees that are familiar with the degrees of competence instituted by Six Sigma . Finally by having highly trained employees directly involved in production is also a way of cutting costs.

While the Six Sigma approach doe have its critics, many companies find the methodologies a welcome addition to their companies.
